Yves Rocher Apricot Face Scrub

How are you guys? I feel like such a cheat..I always promise you guys a routine and I fail to deliver it. But the last weeks were just a mess! First I had a bladder infection, then stomach problems and the flu, my health is just really bad lately. Why am I sharing this not so glamorous, but very personal news with you, though? Because I realised that part of my bad health is due to unhealthy eating, so I decided to take action - I bought some books about healthy cooking, but I also want your opinions, so feel free to share your ideas on how to become a better person from inside out. (could this sound anymore cheesy?Nah, I`m the queen of cheesy)

Now, while I sadly don`t care what I eat, I am pickier when it comes to skincare and tend to use organic or, at least, botanical-based products. Yves Rocher is a brand very close to my heart and lately, I rediscovered my love for their products. Before I moved to the UK, I always used to buy from them, because let`s face it, you don`t have many options when you live in Romania. (most of the makeup brands you find in supermarkets, but when do have Sephoras, so in ya face London!) Anyway, what was then a necessity turned into a deliberate choice. Although I prefer other brands when it comes to makeup, they do have a special place in my skincare routine and one staple product is their face scrub.

What I love most about this product is its texture. While those grainy particles do an excellent job at removing dead skin cells, the scrub also has a creamy aspect, that will leave your skin really smooth. I know they say you should use it once or twice a week, but I found it delicate enough to use it three times a week. Another plus is the smell, that apricot and orange scent just makes me think of summer fruits and sunny days. If you had some days when you mistreated your skin, this is the perfect way to restore it. Whenever I apply it my skin just gets a healthy, radiant glow and overall looks less dull. I know some people are afraid of breakouts, but I didn`t have any. I think this is because of the formula, it`s paraben free and all of the ingredients are botanical based.

Overall, a really really lovely product that will wake up your skin. I think you should give it a go, especially now, when most skin types are more sensitive due to harsh weather conditions and they need a gentle exfoliator.

P.S. Don`t forget to give me ideas for healthy meals!
