Before I start this review, I have to do my usual mumble jumble. Guys, I finally got to that point when I need concealer:< When I was at Uni I used to sleep 5 hours per night (studying, partying, all things ending in ing), but in the morning, I still looked fresh as a daisy. But now, the long working hours are starting to catch up. Now, I am not one of those persons that are horrified to go outside without makeup and I am very comfortable in my own skin, but I like feeling pretty. Does that make me a stupid, shallow person? Contrary to stupid people on the internet, no. So yeah, if I have time in the morning I like to do my makeup (if not, then again, no worries) and one thing I love lately is a good concealer. I tried several, but nothing beats my trusty Match Perfection one from Rimmel. (
The Wake Me Up Concealer seems to be a hit or a miss with so many people. While some beauty bloggers love it, other seem to hate it and this has to do a lot with the formula, but we`ll talk more about this later. First of all, the packaging. It`s very simple and bright, just like any Rimmel product. The applicator is a doe foot wand, which makes it very easy to apply. I use this under my eyes and I draw the infamous triangle, to brighten up the zone. Now, the reason why so many people hate this concealer is the formula. To be honest, it won`t give you lots of coverage and it does a better job at highlighting than concealing. For me this is OK, as I don`t have to fight many blemishes or scars, I just need something to erase those pesky dark circles. The main reason why I like this concealer is the consistency, not too heavy or thick, perfect for the sensitive eye area. While it does not seem to crease too much, it`s better to set it with a powder.
I love this as an under eye concealer, but I agree that it doesn't work very well on blemishes so I just use a seperate concealer for that!

I do the same, I use this under my eyes and then on blemishes I put Collection 2000. They work amazing together.
DeleteI don't like the Wake Me Up Foundation so I've never really been tempted by this, but by your review it sounds good so I might give it a go :) x

It won`t cover much, but it will brighten the under-eye area and give you a nice glow, so it`s worth trying.
DeleteI've been eyeing this product up. I miss my uni days when my skin was so much better too. The past year or so my skin has just turned against me!

Great product for making you look more awake and healthy, definitely worth trying!
DeleteIt looks very similar to the concealer I am using now, the NARS creamy radiant concealer! Thanks for sharing pics! I just might go pick it up once I run out.

I am so excited you made that comparison, as Nars is a brand a bit too expensive for me. You should definitely try it, it can be your drugstore cheap alternative:)
