Vichy Normaderm Night Detox Review

I find Vichy products to be quite tricky, you either love them, or you don`t, there is no middle ground with them. I first tried a Vichy cream when I was 19 and I loved it. Of course, at that time I was the typical broke student, so the price for the cream was my allowance for two weeks. So of course, I had to resume at collecting samples. Actually, one time they were launching a new cream in the mall and I literally took 30 samples:))) And for a month I had my own Vichy cream, kinda. Now that I am an adult with a pretty good job, I can afford these things, though even now I find them a bit expensive. But if I splurge, I`ll choose skincare any day over makeup, because if you don`t have a good face to work with, makeup won`t do wonders.

Moving on to the cream, I actually tested it last month, I received a sample in my Glossybox and after one use, I decided that it`s the best night cream I ever used. Designed for people with oily skin, who suffer from blemishes and greasiness, this cream controls your sebum and purifies the skin. But we`ll talk about everything, from the application, to fragrance and results.

First of all, the application. I just love this formula, it`s like a gel, feels very lightweight and just sinks into your skin. I love applying it, it has such a lovely smell and I can immediately sense my skin getting softer. I generally use this 30 minutes after I applied my face oil and 30 minutes before going to bed, I think it`s enough time for it to go into the skin. I don`t know about you but I like to have a clean and dry face when I put my head on the pillow, I find it more hygienic?

Now, when you buy this cream, the promise the following:
- sebum production is controlled
- imperfections appear reduced
- pores tightened
- radiant complexion
- even skin texture
- skin feels clean and fresh

I used this for almost 3 weeks if I add the sample as well, and in this time, I noticed the following: a lot of my blemishes disappeared and I did not have any breakouts. My skin looks indeed cleaner and feels softer, and with the redness gone, I can honestly say I`m in a place where I love my skin. When I wake up, I see a nice, healthy glow, not someone that had a shower with a bottle of olive oil. Another great thing about the fact that it reduced my sebum is that when I actually put makeup on, I don`t really need a primer. I know you should use one, but I`ve been in such a rush lately and I did not have time for it, but luckily my makeup stayed put and in the afternoons, I did not shine like a disco ball. I did not see a dramatic improvement with my pores, but I do think it helped unclog them. I am very impressed with the results so far, this is a product that will definitely be a staple in my skincare routine.

By the way, I forgot to mention: Night detox is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (won`t clog the pores) and paraben free. It is also infused with Vichy`s Thermal Spa Water, so that`s a plus. Now, it does have a lot of ingredients I don`t like, as I prefer natural products, but the results make me forget that. After all, the salicylic and glycolic acid do a great job at removing dead skin cells, cleansing the pores and they also have anti-inflammatory properties.
