Review: The Salvation Palette by Makeup Revolution

I promised you this post a month ago, but as I said earlier, planning a wedding is a nightmare that will take all your time. I am really sorry for the delay, though it gave me more time for testing, so that`s a plus. I read so many great things about Makeup Revolution eye shadow palettes and I fell in love with this one when I saw it featured on Cristina`s from My Cup of Tea blog. After weeks of testing, it`s definitely on my top 3 list, after the Iconic 3 palette, but that`s from the same company, so it`s in the family.

Just look at this amazing mix of colours! They are perfect for smokey eyes, everyday makeup, you name it. You get 12 shimmery colours and 6 matte ones, going from soft pink and copper to dark greys. And they all come with their own name, which is helpful for people who are a mess with colours like I am. Seriously, sometimes people come into the store and ask for royal blue and I`m like: how dark is that? So yeah, for me there is only white, black, blue, green, red, etc - basically, names that won`t confuse an 80 years old grandma.

Besides looking fantastic, these colours are also really pigmented and last for hours. Another thing that I love is the fact that they are very easy to apply - the texture it`s absolutely dreamy, so creamy and smooth. The only problem is that in my opinion the matte colours are not as pigmented as the shimmery ones. Maybe they should have left only the top ones, it would have been the perfect eye shadow palette. But the matte ones ruin the ensemble a bit. Don`t know, it just bothers me that they are not that good in terms of colour payoff. But other than that, everything else is amazing. The case is quite sturdy and easy to carry with you, plus you also have a mirror inside, so you can put it in your makeup bag without any worries.

I decided to swatch only the shimmery ones, as they are my favourite and the ones I use. You can see it`s an amazing mix of warm and cold colours, that you can combine in so many different ways. Oh, and did I tell you it cost me only six pounds? A real bargain.
