Micellar Waters: L`Oreal vs. Garnier

Nowadays using a micellar water to remove your makeup is like brushing your teeth. They are very gentle and leave your skin feeling soothed and toned. The most raved about is the water from Bioderma, but you also have a lot of choices from brands with friendlier prices. So today I`ll compare the micellar waters from L`Oreal and Garnier.

L`Oreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution
,, Used by makeup artists, this solution feels as gentle as water on your skin but acts like a make-up remover, toner and skin soother all in one. Swiftly dissolving all traces of make-up, the micellar solution acts like a purifying magnet on the skin`s surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities rather than spreading them around you face like some wipes can``
This was the first micellar water I tried. It does a good job removing makeup and after I use it my skin feels really fresh. However, it has a weird smell...I don`t know how to describe it, maybe like old clothes?:)) Anyway, if you get past that, you`ll have a product that removes even the toughest mascara.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
,, Micellar Cleansing Water is an easy way to remove make-up, soothe and hydrate the face, eye area, and lips, in 1 step without rinsing. For the 1st time, Garnier introduces the Micellar technology in an all-in-one cleanser. Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from skin. No need to rub to remove impurities and make-up.``
Everyone says this is a dupe after the Bioderma one (even the bottle). I haven`t tried that one, but I love this product. It dissolves make-up in seconds and it`s fragrance-free.

The Verdict:
Although the L`Oreal product isn`t bad, I would recommend the one from Garnier. You get a bottle of 400 ml (the L`Oreal bottle has 200ml) that gives you 200 uses, based on a 2ml per cotton pad. A little goes a long way with this product, so I really believe it will last that long. Also, because it`s fragrance-free, you won`t have to deal with the weird smell the L`Oreal water has. At the price of 4.99 pounds, it`s a great product for removing makeup/impurities and toning your skin.
